This 1/2 inch wide magnetic tape comes in 100 ft. roll. Trim with scissors in lengths to fit the sides and ends of your float or vehicle metal surfaces. Remove the wax-paper covering and affix sticky side of magnetic tape to the back of your float decorating fringe or festoon. Then attach your float decorations to metal surfaces of your trailer or vehicle. For added convenience, staple festoon to top bias-tape edge of fringe before affixing magnetic tape. Make sure your vehicle or trailer is made of a material that accepts a magnet. Mag-100 won’t stick to aluminum or fibreglass.

So…in theory this is an awesome idea. We used this to decorate a trailer and truck with floral sheeting and festoon. The issue we had was with weather – rain. When the tape gets wet the adhesive disintegrates and nothing sticks. The night before our parade we had heavy rainfall. The solution was to staple the material to the magnetic tape. This worked fine. And we made it through the parade.
